Capstone Experience

Students enroll in the HA 499 Professional Development capstone during the final year of study.  

 

In addition to the development of skills related to job interviews, career planning, presenting scholarly papers, and graduate school applications, the course provides students with the opportunity to conduct an independent undergraduate research project under the guidance of an Art History & Visual Culture faculty member in the appropriate field on a topic of their choice leading to the production of a substantive original paper.  

 

At the conclusion of this intensive research experience, these emerging young scholars are invited to present their scholarly research at the annual Art History & Visual Culture Symposium.  

 

The 2016 Art History & Visual Culture Symposium is scheduled for December 2, 2016.  In the meantime, we invite you to learn more about the various research topics Art History & Visual Culture majors have explored over the past few years:
