The Department of Art, Art History, and Design’s Saturday Morning Art (SmART) program is part of the Department’s Art Education degree program, which provides pre-service art education majors the opportunity to interact and work with school-age children. The creative program serves to broaden and enrich the art and educational experiences of all involved and is designed to expand SmART participants’ artistic and problem-solving skills, as well as their aesthetic and cultural awareness and sensitivity. The Spring Semester program will provide 6 class sessions of instruction and an exhibition for elementary, middle, and high school students, ages 5-18 years old. The dates for Spring Semester 2024 are February 3, 10, 17, 24 and March 9 and 16.
Saturday Morning Art Program will have four class sections based on the participant’s age and are as follows:
Class 1 (5-7 Years Old)
Class 2 (8-10 Years Old)
Class 3 (11-13 Years Old)
Class 4 (14-18 Years Old)
