MSU students are studying abroad in record numbers. Each year students are transformed by their educational experiences outside of the United States and we led the nation in study abroad participation among public universities. We administer over 275 programs taking place in more than 60 countries around the world.

Our students can be found in classrooms, research labs, field stations, and internship sites throughout the world. By going abroad they open themselves to experiences that help develop skills and competencies to work in diverse environments, to accommodate “difference,” and to adjust quickly to unexpected changes.  Programs range in length from one to six weeks to a semester or a full academic year, and they are offered during each session, including winter and spring break.

In addition to programs offered through MSU, the Department of Art, Art History, and Design and the College of Arts & Letters sponsor a variety of programs that may be of interest to majors in our department.  For more information on programs offered by our department, visit the links below:

If none of our programs fit your style, the College of Arts and Letters also sponsors over 120 programs for Study Abroad which might meet your needs.  The Office of Study Abroad can answer any questions you may have regarding possible programs, receiving course credit, or funding.
