Joan Bambery, a normally very conceptually heavy & multi-media artist, offers the body of work “Breath of a Videogame”. The work gives videogames a physical presence by installing three fully unique & playable games in three large-standing sculptures. Through that physical presence in the gallery, the work regards the culture, art status, and art form of videogames. Utilizing sculpture, traditional painting, graphic design, animation, game design, world-building, character-building, and an awful lot of jokes: the exhibit is a throughly contemporary hot take on videogames’ place in the Fine Arts.
