FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 29
The Department of Art, Art History, and Design invites any interested MSU students, faculty, and staff to attend a day-long exploration of Chicago’s art scene!
Attendees will have the opportunity to visit the Art Institute of Chicago, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Field Museum, etc. In addition to visiting the art museums, Chicago has to offer, attendees will have the opportunity to explore Chicago’s gallery districts and view public art in the city. Each attendee will be able to choose their destinations for the trip to fulfill their own interests.
IN ORDER TO ATTEND YOU MUST REGISTER BY MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 25.
COST: $42.00
The $42 fee is non-refundable and can be paid through the registration link below. This fee will cover the cost of transportation to and from East Lansing and Chicago. Attendees will be responsible for all other costs such as museum entry fees, bus/uber fares, food, etc.
It is recommended that students bring their MSU IDs to receive student admission rates at various museums.
Please note, that there are a limited number of seats for this trip so sign up early to secure your spot!
TIMELINE:
At this time masks are optional, if you would like one to wear on the bus, one will be provided for you. Buses will load and depart from Kresge Art Center, plan to arrive at 6:30AM EST so we can depart at 7AM EST on Friday, September 29 and arrive in Chicago at the Art Institute of Chicago (Millennium Park Entrance) at around 10:30AM CST.
Once the buses arrive in Chicago, attendees will then have time to explore the city’s art scene. Everyone on the trip should be prepared to return to the Art Institute of Chicago (Millennium Park Entrance) by 6:30PM CST to depart at 7PM CST. Attendees should expect to arrive back at the Kresge Art Center at around 12AM EST.
Set your alarm clock, bring comfortable shoes and don’t miss the bus!
