November 28 – December 8
Kresge Art Center, Gallery 101
Closing Reception December 8th, 5-7PM
I explore one’s multitude of identities and strive to tell personal narratives through the lenses of a woman from the South. I find that by telling my perspective, I expose underlying issues of trauma and the ideologies that impose it. How does censorship play a part in controlling identity and narrative? What parts are acceptable to share and what parts are self-regulated? How does a personal narrative and the mundane allude to a bigger picture?
