Innovation Meets Inclusion: MSU Students Design Adaptive Fashions for New York City Runway

Four Michigan State University students stepped into the spotlight in New York City as featured designers at the 2025 "iCAN Do Anything" Fashion Show hosted by the International Institute for the Brain (iBRAIN) to celebrate and promote adaptive and inclusive fashion. The MSU students — Jillian Kelly, Tristian Laney, Rico Seatts, and Reagan Wiley — all majoring in Apparel and Textile Design (ATD), were among a select group of designers who created custom adaptive garments for students with brain-based disabilities.

Studio Art Major Gains Experience Interning for Arts4U Program

Alisa McCrary, a senior BFA in Studio Art major at Michigan State University who is from Detroit, is gaining experience as an intern for Arts4U, a University Arts and Collections program at MSU. Arts4U hosts various pop-up events such as live musical performances, open mic sessions, and interactive art activities with the goal of creating a welcoming environment for students interested in the arts.

Grad Student Highlights Campus Tree Installation in Graduate Arts Fellowship

Hailey Becker, a Michigan State University graduate student, is shining a light on campus with her art exhibition that recently was featured in the MSU Libraries Digital Scholarship Lab as part of the MSU Digital Humanities Graduate Arts Fellowship. “Where the Light Gets In” is an installation Becker created in the Digital Scholarship Lab (DSL) that showcases her art installations across MSU’s campus.
