SCHOLARSHIPS

When applying to MSU and indicating your intended major, you will automatically be considered for a variety of merit-based scholarships offered by MSU and the College of Arts and Letters.

Award of our departmental scholarships is contingent on admission to MSU, and can be based on high academic performance and evidence of financial need. If submitted, art and design portfolios or writing samples may also be used in consideration for some awards.

  • Art History & Visual Culture Scholarship
    • $1,500/year four years
  • Apparel & Textile Design Scholarship
    • $1,500/year four years
  • Royer-Webb Endowed Studio Art Scholarship
    • $1,200/year four years
  • Sally Swiss Endowed Scholarship (two offered)
    • $1,500/year four years
  •  Ralph Calder Studio Art Endowed Scholarship
    • $1,500/year four years
  • Rohem Endowed Scholarship
    •  $1,400/year four years
  • Creative Arts Scholarships (three offered)
    • Apparel and Textile Design, Graphic Design, and Studio Art
    • $1,500 one time – $2,500/year four years

Assistance might be awarded by the federal or state government, the university or private sources such as employers and community organizations.
