From East Lansing to Paris: Graphic Design Student Expands Creative Vision During Semester Abroad

McKenna Long, a Michigan State University student majoring in Graphic Design, spent a semester abroad studying at the Paris College of Art (PCA), an opportunity available exclusively to MSU College of Arts & Letters students. She used the experience to expand her academic and creative focus, exploring interior design, architecture, and spatial design — all while living and studying in the City of Light.

Where Design Meets Community: Inside Student’s Public Arts Internship

Hayley Asai, a junior with a double major in Graphic Design and Experience Architecture (XA) at Michigan State University who is from North Potomac, Maryland, gained experience working as a Graphic Design and Communications Intern for the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Work by Students and Staff Recognized with ADDY Awards

At this year’s American Advertising (ADDY) Awards celebration for the American Advertising Federation (AAF) Lansing chapter, students in MSU’s Graphic Design program took home two Gold, three Silver, and two Bronze ADDY Awards. In the professional competition, MSU’s College of Arts & Letters Marketing Office received a Mosaic Award as well as one Gold, two Silver, and two Bronze ADDY Awards.
