College of Arts & Letters Graduates Receive Board of Trustees Awards for Perfect 4.0 GPAs

Nineteen College of Arts & Letters students who are graduating in Spring 2024 have earned Board of Trustees Awards for having maintained a perfect 4.0 grade point average during their undergraduate education, which is the highest scholastic average one can attain at the end of their undergraduate career at Michigan State University.

Work of MFA Candidates on Display and Celebrated at MSU Broad Art Museum

The 2024 Master of Fine Arts Exhibition, which runs through Sunday, May 26, at Michigan State University's Broad Art Museum, is hosting a reception on Saturday, April 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. to celebrate the creative and scholarly research of MSU’s Department of Art, Art History, and Design MFA candidates whose work is featured in this year’s exhibition.

Work by Students and Staff Recognized with ADDY Awards

At this year’s American Advertising (ADDY) Awards celebration for the American Advertising Federation (AAF) Lansing chapter, students in MSU’s Graphic Design program took home two Gold, three Silver, and two Bronze ADDY Awards. In the professional competition, MSU’s College of Arts & Letters Marketing Office received a Mosaic Award as well as one Gold, two Silver, and two Bronze ADDY Awards.

MFA Candidate Expands Her Skills and Artistic Voice at MSU

Renowned interdisciplinary artist Shirin Abedinirad, who is known for her immersive installations and profound explorations of nature and identity and who also is an MFA candidate at Michigan State University, will exhibit her latest land art installation as part of the 2024 Master of Fine Arts Exhibition at the MSU Broad Art Museum, which runs March 9-May 26.

Apparel and Textile Design Students Receive VIP Behind-the-Scenes Access to New York Fashion Week

Two Michigan State University senior Apparel and Textile Design majors, Abigail Jones and Whitney Howard, received a one-of-a-kind behind-the-scenes look at the fashion industry during the February 2024 New York Fashion Week (NYFW). This unique experience included entry into select runway shows as well as panel discussions and networking opportunities with industry leaders.
